Description
A Rozenburg Den Haag eggshell porcelain candlestick painted with orange tulips and tulip bulbs. The decoration is by Schellink and the candlestick was painted together with Jacot, De Vries and van Laren in August 1905. Marked with the factory stamp, the year code, painter’s monogram and in relief the model number 212, work order number 482. Height 16 cm.

In total, the Rozenburg factory produced 120 pieces of this model of candlestick. Only in the years from 1902 to 1905, and this candlestick, from work order 482 in 1905, is the last to leave the factory. Presumably due to actual use of the candlesticks since then, only a few are ultimately known.
