The Hague salon spring exhibition 2018
‘Art Nouveau in the Netherlands – Art Nouveau in The Hague’
We cordially invite you to our spring exhibition in the The Hague salon!
On April 21st, the The Hague Gemeentemuseum started the exhibition ‘Art Nouveau in the Netherlands’. Not only have we sold an inkwell by Theo Nieuwenhuis to the Gemeentemuseum to include in this exhibition, we’ve also given several artworks to the museum on loan. Among these artworks are several vases with luster glazes and fish decorations from Amphora Holland, Haga Purmerend and St. Lukas Utrecht, manufactured around 1910. These vases are on display at the Gemeentemuseum and are (still) for sale in our gallery!
During the spring exposition, Jan de Bruijn, Applied Arts curator at the Gemeentemuseum, will be giving a lecture about the exhibition at the museum.
At our spring exhibition, we’ll once again display showpieces from the European Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods between 1880 and 1940, among which various unique posters, sculptures, glass art by Daum Nancy and Copier, furniture by Lion Cachet, Dijsselhof and Nieuwenhuis, earthenware vases by Theodoor Colenbrander and porcelain by Rozenburg The Hague.
We warmly invite you to visit us and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink!
