Argy-Rousseau ‘pâte-de-verre’ pendant 1923, of a cicada (cigale) in purple/green colors. Argy-Rousseau was one, of only seven glass artists, who mastered the difficult ‚pâte-de-verre’ technique. This technique was re-discovered by Henry Cros (1840-1907) in the last half of the 18th century.
